We're Getting Married!!

We first met at a young adults church group, where we were both just trying to find community and grow in our faith. One night during a group dinner, we ended up sitting next to each other and started talking about our military experiences. What started as a casual conversation quickly turned into something deeper. We connected over shared stories, values, and a mutual sense of humor that made the time fly. Later that night, after the group had ended, Ashton decided she wanted to keep the conversation going, so she texted Josiah. That one message turned into hours of talking, and before long, Josiah invited Ashton over to help him with his math homework (yes, that was the first “date”). Not long after, he took her to one of our favorite spots, Charleston’s, for what we now call our first real date. From there, everything just clicked. We realized how much we had in common, from our morals and faith to our dreams for the future. We started dating and quickly became inseparable. After a year and four months of laughter, growth, and a whole lot of love, Josiah proposed on a beach in Cabo, Mexico. It was the easiest “yes” ever—and now we can’t wait to start this next chapter together.
