Oak Island and Southport are known for fishing. Whether you want to bring your rod & reel and fish off the bank, head to the Oak Island Pier, or go on a fishing charter the area will not disappoint. Spanish & King Mackerel, Flounder, Cobia, Snapper, Grouper, Trout, and Shark are commonly reeled in. Several highly rated bait and tackle shops as well as fishing charters are nearby.

Mr. Beach Rentals has kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddle boards, skim boards, and just about anything you could think of that they will deliver for free! The Intracoastal Waterway provides calm conditions to enjoy the water however you would like!
