Grant and Ashton met back in November of 2018. They were both invited to a birthday party of Ashton's close friend Julie Dominick. Grant was invited by his close friend Nick Scoumis. The party made its way to Suzie's Dogs and Drafts in downtown Youngstown, Ohio for Teen Angst Music Night. This is where Grant and Ashton got to talking and have been inseparable ever since! They started dating officially on December 2nd, 2018. Collectively the couple have been together for over 7-years and counting!

On October 11th, 2024, Ashton and Grant bought their first home in Meridian, Pennsylvania. They were living in Kent, Ohio and wanted to move back to Pennsylvania to be closer to family. Grant started a new job with Penske as a Logistics Manager. While moving into their first home Ashton was finishing up her graduate degree at Youngstown State University. In December of 2024, Ashton graduated with her Masters in Public Health! Now Grant is working for Insight Pipe Contracting and Ashton is working towards obtaining her RD credentials.

On January 12th, 2025, it was a snowy day but the sun was shining. Grant and Ashton went to run some errands and take a peek at Cobblehaus Falls in Volant, Pennsylvania. On their drive to the falls, they spotted a red fox sitting in a bank of snow! When they got to the falls Ashton was busy taking pictures that she didn't notice Grant behind her proposing! The couple has a love for nature, and this was the perfect setting to start the next chapter of their love story.
