You can go apple picking, enjoy some shopping in their Country Store and Bakery, or sip on some delicious Bold Rock Cider or Prince Michel Wine with a beautiful view of Charlottesville. Originally an area of wilderness in Virginia colony in 1739, the land was purchased by the University of Virginia in 1974 and then turned into an award-winning golf course. one of the area’s best golf courses and the home of the university’s men’s and women’s golf teams.
The Murray family's favorite spot to hike and have a picnic. A short hike up the Appalachain Trail will take you to a spot filled with huge black rocks and a magnificent view. Grab a sandwich from Bellair Market (in Charlottesville) before heading on the hike, and have a picnic up on the rocks!
