An evening at one of our favorite beaches, bring layers to stay warm when the sun goes down. Bring your dinner take-out style or bring some food to cook on a campfire. A casual gathering to hang out before the big day!
Come by Van Damme State Beach from 5pm to 8:30pm. We would love meet up with you at one of our favorite beaches! At Van Damme beach there is large parking lot, an accessible, safe and beautiful beach, pit toilets, fire rings, and a few picnic tables. Please bring your own food to either cook over the fire or take out, and any beverages you desire. There is limited seating on the sea wall or picnic tables, so if you have camp chairs we would recommend bringing them and/or a blanket for the sand or sea wall. There are lots of awesome shells, rocks and ocean treasures you can find while walking around the cove. We look forward to connecting with anyone who is able to make it!

Parking at Caspar Beach is very limited and weddings at Caspar Beach require the use of a shuttle. Unless you are staying at the Caspar RV Park, please park your vehicle at Jughandle Creek Farm/Nature Center to be transported by our shuttle service. Parking will be marked and at the first immediate left upon entering the Jughandle Creek Farm property. It should be approximately a 5 minute shuttle ride to the beach. The shuttles will start driving people from the parking lot to the beach at 2:30pm. You do not need to bring all the items you need for the night down to the ceremony if desired. The shuttle will be able to bring you back to your car so you can gather any belongings/coats you will need for the reception.
3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
"Funky formal" attire is requested, we would love our guests to wear bold colors! Or get out that dress, shirt, or outfit thats been waiting for the right moment to wear it. Bring beach-friendly shoes, or go barefoot like us!
After a short journey on the shuttle, you will arrive at Caspar Beach! Follow signs to our ceremony location. We will have some blankets to sit on and there will be plenty of space to stand and watch our ceremony as well as some beach chairs. If you have a beach chair or blanket that you'd like to sit on, please bring it. This is a casual, beach ceremony. Once everyone has arrived, we will have a short but sweet ceremony in front of the waves with our toes in the sand. Afterwards we will be taking some family/group pictures on the beach and there will be time to hang out and enjoy some beach time, or you can choose to get on the shuttle to Sea Pines Lane/the reception at 4:30 pm.
4:30 pm
Parking is not available at the property where our reception will be held. The shuttle service will continue throughout the night to transport guests to and from Jughandle Creek Farm parking lot to the Sea Pines Lane reception (a 7 minute drive), as needed. After the ceremony, the shuttle will start driving guests to the reception location on Sea Pines Lane. Before the shuttle service takes you to the reception, they will organize a driver to take anyone back to their vehicle if needed (to gather any belongings/jackets that you'll need for the evening) before being driven to the reception. We recommend bringing warmer jackets/clothes for the evening because the reception will be held outdoors. The dining area will be in a grassy lawn. The shuttle driver will be available to drive guests back to their vehicle until 10:30-11pm. Unfortunately there are very limited Uber options in Mendocino, so please plan ahead to have a designated driver and carpool to the shuttle parking lot.
5:00 pm - 10:15 pm
Following the ceremony, please join us for our wedding reception, graciously hosted by two of our best friends at their dreamy property in the forest. Expect delicious food, drinks, and dancing under the stars! We recommend bringing a warmer jacket for after the sun goes down.
10:15 pm - 11:00 pm
After all the fun - our shuttle service ends at 11pm. We ask that you please be aware of the end time of the shuttle service and remember that everyone is using this to get back to their vehicles. Please do not wait until the last minute to get a ride back to your vehicles with your designated driver. Thank you so much! There is one 24/7 ride service available locally, call Ride Wise at 707-357-8691. If you are traveling with kids the shuttle can be arranged to take you back to your vehicle earlier in the evening if needed.
