Our story started thanks McKenzie, a girl in my sorority who happened to have a cousin. One night she was at my apartment in college, and she asked if I wanted to ride down to Milledgeville with her to meet her cousin’s best friend that she had been talking to. My first response was definitely something along the lines of, “Uhhh… I don’t know about that.” Then she showed me a picture of Thad, and suddenly I was a lot more interested. The very next day Thad and I started messaging nonstop getting to know each other. Before I knew it, McKenzie and I were driving to Milledgeville two days after that conversation. From the second Thad and I met, we instantly clicked. Being together felt like the most effortless thing from the very beginning. What was supposed to just be a fun trip turned into something that completely changed both of our lives. For the next two years, we did long distance, spending countless hours and miles driving back and forth just to see each other whenever we could. No matter how busy life got, we always made each other a priority. Since the day we met, we haven't not gone more than a week without seeing each other. Through college, career beginnings, endless drives, and every stage of growing up together, we built a relationship rooted in love, friendship, and choosing each other over and over again. Now, we are so excited to finally become husband and wife and celebrate the story that started with one late night trip to Milledgeville. ♡
