Ken and Jen Mondragon
Parents of the Groom
Ken and Jen met when they were 21 and 20 years old while living in Salinas, California. They moved to Texas and had their first born, Jordon. Then moved back to Salinas a few years later to be near family. A couple years later they had Drake and shortly after had Brody. Drake was one of there hardest children to raise because he was very mischievous and was an outgoing kid. (Fun Fact: Jen use to have to buy broken toaster’s, remotes, etc. for Drake to take apart.) If you see Ken and Jen at the wedding conversations could include: Cooking (Momma Jen loves to cook), Off-roading, Fishing (Momma Jen holds the family record for catching the most fish in one day), Their Doodles and Anything that doesn’t involve work.
Brittany and Chance Carter
Bride’s Mother and Step-Dad
Brittany and Chance met when they were teenager’s in high school... and did not like each-other. They later married in 2015 and a year later had Ashlynn’s younger brother Weston. (But, I still remained the favorite...Right Mom?) Later in 2020, they moved to Yuma to be closer to their favorite activities which are the desert and the river. Ashlynn was a fairly easy child growing loving all things Cheer, Barbies, and Shopping. Ashlynn talked very early on and hasn’t stop talking since (I learned that from my momma). If you see Chance and Brittany at the wedding conversations could include: The River, Off-roading, Church, and Hair (She always makes Ashlynn’s hair pretty).
Dan and Elisa Reid
Father of bride and His wife
Dan and Elisa met when they were teenager’s in high school and also went to prom together. They later married in 2015 and blended there two families. Later in 2022, they had a grandson named Easton and enjoy being grandparents. Growing up Dan had taught Ashlynn how to ride a quad, ride a bike, and work on cars. Ashlynn’s favorite memory with her dad is when he would take her to race BMX. If you see Dan and Elisa at the wedding conversations could include: Trucks (he is a mechanic), Super-cross, Their grandson Easton, and Their Frenchies.
Jordon Mondragon
Officiant
Jordan is the Oldest of the three Mondragon brothers. It was easy to pick Jordan for such a big role in our wedding because of his ease to talk to people, make people laugh, and most importantly he was already ordained. With the Mondragon family not having any girls on their side, it was easy for Jordan to take Ashlynn in as a sister and they argue as if they have known each other since diapers. If you see Jordan at the wedding conversations could include: Church, His “Super Cool” Mustache, Motorcycles, and the Gym (tell him is muscles are big).
Sierra Sala
Bridesmaid
Sierra is a longtime family friend of Drake, who later turned into just Ashlynn's friend. Drake and Sierra grew up going on various trips together from a young age. Ashlynn and Sierra didn’t get close till they all had moved to Texas, all at different times and different locations. (Fun Fact: Because of an Ice storm going over Texas and also not wanting to stop hangout, Sierra once spent almost 2 weeks on Drake and Ashlynn couch in the studio they were staying in.) If you see Sierra at the wedding, conversations could include, Hair (She just became a hairstylist), Steers/FFA, UberEats delivery services (ask her about DIVA D and Apple Pay), and Her Truck.
Brody Mondragon
Groomsman
Brody is the Youngest of the Mondragon boys. Since Drake and Brody are fairly close in age, Brody was a built in best friend for Drake but that didn’t start till just recently about 5-6 years ago. When Drake and Brody were very young they liked to beat each other up, blame things on each other, and do everything the other one was doing. Once they got older they still liked to blame things on each other and do everything the other one was doing but at this point it was because they were truly Best Friends. If you see Brody at the wedding, conversations could include: Fishing(He doesn’t like to brag but he is pretty BadAss), His Truck, Boise Bear (Brody’s favorite of the three Labradoodles), Did I mention Fishing and His Truck?
Kaylie Peckham
Bridesmaid
Kaylie is Ashlynn’s cousin on her mom’s side. Growing up Ashlynn and Kaylie hung-out quite often playing Barbie’s, Kitchen, and Dress up. They also looked alike, even wearing the exact same brands and outfits most of the time. (Fun Fact: When Kaylie and Ashlynn were very young they went on a trip to Universal studios, where Donkey from the movie Shrek said that they were sisters and Kaylie corrected Donkey that they were in fact just cousins.) If you see Kaylie at the wedding, conversations could include: Church, The Beach (she loves surfing and taking cute pictures), BJ’s Pazooki Nights, and Books (and yes, she has probably already read that book).
Travis Harrod
Groomsman
Travis and Drake are childhood best friends, which brought the two families together. They grew up snowboarding, off-roading, mountain-biking, and going on many family trips together. When Drake’s family moved to Yuma that didn’t stop them from hanging out every chance they got. In true best friend fashion they had to have all the same hobbies (and still do). They went from obsessing over who’s dirt bike was better to who’s truck is better. (But Travis has a Duramax) If you see Travis at the wedding conversations could include: Welding (I weld the metal, I grind the metal) and His truck.
Delaney Grace
Bridesmaid
In 2020, Ashlynn and Delaney met as neighbors and quickly bonded over how hot their rooms were. (Fun fact: Ashlynn and Delaney both had the same rooms in each of their homes because of how their development is laid out). Delaney became a very close friend of both Drake and Ashlynn once they became a couple, a few months later. If you see Delaney at the wedding, conversations could include: Church, NAU (She goes to college there), and Singing (She is AMAZING at it...not joking).
Luis Portillo
Groomsman
Luis and Drake have been friends since Freshman year of High School. Luis quickly became like a fourth son to the Mondragon’s and not just because he had similar hair. Luis would go on many family trips to the River and Ocotillo and earning him self the nickname Taco. Luis and Drake would hangout Fishing, Off-Roading, Dirt-biking, and getting themselves into trouble hoping they wouldn’t get caught. If you see Luis at the wedding conversations could include: The Desert, His RZR, and His truck (Ask him about the 12 valve).
