Growing up we went to the same schools, knew the same people, heard about each other but never actually talked to one another. Who knew that the two people closest to us would bring us together. We officially first met through our sisters, who decided to play matchmaker and introduce us. What started as a simple get-together quickly turned into hours of talking and laughing. From the start, being around each other just felt so easy and natural. Neither of us could have guessed that such a simple introduction would turn into a love story, but here we are!

Willie popped the question on our summer vacation to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. We were going to take some sunset photos on the beach; I didn’t think anything of it. I thought we were just going to take some family pictures. To my surprise, I was wrong. As the sun was setting, he suddenly got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was simple, beautiful, and perfect. It was quite easily the easiest "yes" I have ever given.
