Steven & I met in October of 2017 at Isom Baptist church. Steven had just been saved & he was getting baptisted on this particular Sunday. Right before the service had started he stood up & gave his testimony on what God had done for him. It touhed my heart, & it was just so beautiful. I went home & told one of my friends about him. She encourgaed me to find him on social media & talk to him (she knew I was to nervous to talk to him in person), so i did. Steven & I became friends on instagram, & before i could even message him, he had messaged me. We talked some, & then he asked me on a date. Nervously, but yet excited i said yes. That following Friday, we made a plan to go out. On his way to pick me up, he ended up getting in an accident because the flowers he had bought me fell on the floor & he didn’t want them to get messed up, so he leaned down to pick them up & he ended up running into a house (no one was hurt). He called to tell me what happend ( i honestly thought he was making it up to get out of going). I told my friend what happened & she encouraged me to go meet him at his house & see him. So i did. & we ended up sitting in his parents driveway, in my car, from 8 that night until 8 the next morning just talking. From then on, the rest is history!
Steven & I were getting ready to go out of town for the day on April 17th, 2019. That morning he had told me to get ready, & he needed to run to the grocery store to get a few things. He was gone for about an hour, and I didn’t think much of it because Steven knows everyone so I just assumed he ran into someone he knew & got to talking. When Steven arrived to pick me up, he came in in such a hurry telling me he had a surprise for me. He blind folded me, & i had no idea what was going on. Steven had taken me back to the spot at his parents house we had sat in my car on the night of our first date talking all night. He had a blanket setup with flowers & my favorite candy. He got down on one knee, & told me to take off the blindfold. Then he asked me to be his wife, & of course I said yes!
