Getting to Twin Lakes from the Denver Airport is a beautiful 2-2.5 hour drive. Twin lakes is 9,200 ft above sea level, so be sure to drink plenty of water if you are not accustomed to higher altitudes. I have found that taking Ibuprofen or kids dramamine also helps!
Note: Twin Lakes is a small town with a ton of options for outdoor activities. If you prefer being closer to restaurants and shops, consider staying in the adorable town of Buena Vista which is a 20 minute drive from Twin Lakes. No matter where you stay, I highly suggest a visit!
