Like any good story, ours began with Once Upon A Time… It was fall semester of 2017. Parker & Ashlyn had just begun their sophomore year of college. Though, neither knew who the other was, that was all about to change in their night class they both had in Comm Arts room 124. Ashlyn was already sat and prepped as Parker came in dragging a bit (he’s a morning person you see), and this class didn’t end till 10pm. So as he gazed for a place to sit, he was taken by the beauty that was sitting alone, Ashlyn. So, he sat in her row and as the semester progressed on, Parker and Ashlyn began to make small talk, leading Parker to sit closer and closer to her. Pretty soon, they couldn’t stop talking. Upon learning she lived across campus, Parker began to walk her back, just to make sure she made it home safe and sound. Alas, the semester was coming to an end and so was their time together. While neither wanted to say goodbye, it just wasn’t their time. God had a different plan. Fast forward to 6 years later in the year 2023… This was a special year, full of love and adversity. And for Parker, it was a year of challenges and growth. And God knew this. So, he found it best that their waiting be done. Ashlyn and Parker reconnected via social media DMs. They picked up their conversation right where it left off. It was as if no time had passed. And though it will always be up for debate between Parker and Ashlyn, Ashlyn asked Parker out on their first official date to go see Kip Moore in concert. And as the ol’ saying goes, the rest is history…
