Michael and I swiped right on OKCupid on June 11, 2019, shortly after we went on our first date to get snow-cones. Michael liked to tell people we met at a coffee shop when we both reached for the same drink, and it was love at first sight, because of course he would. And the rest they say is history.

We scheduled family pictures as a gift for my mom and her husband, the only date we had available was July 4th, which happened to be mine and Michael's one year anniversary. At the end of pictures we were doing one last round of couples shots and Michael started reaching into his pocket, if you've seen the video you know Michael was struggling to get the box out of his back pocket. At that point I knew what was happening and he was trying to say things to me but I could not say yes fast enough.
