Ashlyn is an ICU nurse and Mara is an SCCA patient. Ashlyn's mom is an elementary school teacher and Ashlyn is immunocompromised. Various loved ones are over the age of 65 and/or have active cancer. With our Spokane wedding guest list at over 150 people, we did not feel it would be safe to gather with this many by the beginning of August. While we wish we could celebrate with everyone we love, we made the decision we think is best for everyone. These variables, plus many others, are why we made this choice. It is better, in our opinion, to have a small wedding where we can control COVID testing and limit exposure rather than potentially get multiple people sick. We love you and know you love us but this was what we felt was the safest for everyone.
Yes! We are registered via this website through the Zola store as well as through Amazon which is linked on our "Registry" tab.
Our wedding will be heavily photographed and shared via social media. If you do not feel comfortable being seen at an LGBTQ+ wedding then we respectfully ask you to decline your RSVP.
Great question! This answer has changed so many times throughout 2020 and 2021. We actually put offers on houses in Spokane but my golly this is a tough market. So, we decided to wait it out and we will be traveling as Ashlyn takes short-term/covid crisis contracts at various hospitals around the country. Mara gets her dream of world travel while Ashlyn gets new career experiences and to provide the life that her wife has always dreamed of.
