HOW WE MET Ashlyn: We matched on Tinder while I was living in Columbia and she was in Kansas City. I decided to drive out after work one weekend to meet her. We ended up in a little dive bar eating burgers and drinking cheap vodka sodas. Honestly, it was the best backup plan ever. We talked until the bar closed, and it just felt easy. Mackenzie: From the second I met her, I knew she was my forever. I had never met anyone like Ash. She scared me a little because I was so into her right away! We talked about everything in that bar like we had known each other forever. FALLING IN LOVE Ashlyn: There wasn’t a single big moment where I thought “this is it.” It was all the little things; driving to see her, helping out with small stuff, realizing how considerate she was...When we moved in together, it just clicked and felt like home. Mackenzie: I always say it was love at first sight. She was thoughtful in ways I didn’t even know I needed. We bonded over our dogs, road trips, and late-night eats, but what really got me was her heart. Ash leads with kindness in all aspects of her life, and I knew I needed her in mine. THE PROPOSAL Ashlyn: Puerto Vallarta is our happy place, so it felt perfect to ask there. I had to plan carefully because surprising her is NOT easy. But I pulled it off. Mackenzie: She really did surprise me, and I don’t say that often. It was thoughtful, sweet, and honestly the best vacation of my life. LIFE TOGETHER We spend our days planning adventures and chasing good eats. We spoil our dogs more than we should and really enjoy seeing different parts of the world. More than anything, we’re just grateful we found each other and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!!
