Travel Note
Gooseberry Falls State Park is in Two Harbors, Minnesota and is about an hour drive from Duluth. If you plan on flying, we suggest flying into Duluth International Airport and renting a car for the weekend. It will be the peak season for Minnesota's Northshore, so hotels may be more expensive than usual. Duluth has some cheaper hotel options, but staying in Two Harbors will be more convenient for getting to and from the ceremony site. If you are up for an adventure - Minnesota has some amazing state parks! Gooseberry Falls (and surrounding state parks) do have camping available that opens up for reservations 90 days in advance. There are some tricks to reserving these to ensure you secure a site. If this is something that you are interested in, please reach out and we can help you out! Long story short, staying anywhere along the Northshore is going to be absolutely beautiful and you won't regret it!
Flight
If you are thinking about flying, Duluth International Airport will be the closest and easiest to fly into and travel to the ceremony site. The ceremony site is about an hour drive from the airport, so we suggest renting a car and either staying in Duluth or Two Harbors.
Hotel
We have reserved a room block at Superior Shores Resort in Two Harbors, MN for Friday, October 9th - Sunday, October 11th. With the block discount, double guest rooms are $359 per night and the north woods jacuzzi & fireplace king guest room is $395 per night. All rooms are also subject to a $35 resort fee per room per night. To book, please call the hotel directly at 800-218-8589 and request a room within the "Ashlyn & Geoff Wedding" room block. The block will be held until Thursday, July 9th, 2026. Please book before then if you would like to take advantage of the room block. Another option that Superior Shores Resort offers is rental of executive suites and lake homes. This option may be cheaper if you are willing to share space with other guests!
