Our Story
How We Met / Cómo Nos Conocimos
We met in 2016 thanks to our families introducing us while we were both students at Chico State. To be honest, it wasn’t love at first sight. But if you know anything about Eddie, you know his corny jokes and contagious laugh can win over just about anyone. That’s exactly what happened, and what started as a little flirting quickly turned into the start of our love story. Nuestra historia empezó en 2016 cuando nuestras familias decidieron presentarnos mientras los dos estudiábamos en Chico State. Y siendo sinceros… no fue amor a primera vista. Pero si conocen a Eddie, saben que con sus chistes medio malos y su risa contagiosa es difícil no caerle bien. Poco a poco, entre pláticas y coqueteos, lo que empezó como algo casual terminó convirtiéndose en algo mucho más especial.
Life Together / Nuestra Vida Juntos
Over the years we’ve shared so much together — trips, camping adventures, holidays, and plenty of everyday moments in between. We’ve been by each other’s side through some of life’s biggest milestones and hardest moments, always choosing to grow together. In 2019 we moved in together, and a year later our little family grew when we brought home our fur baby, Smokey. He quickly became the most spoiled (and energetic) member of the household. Con los años hemos compartido muchísimas aventuras — viajes, campamentos, celebraciones con nuestras familias y también muchos momentos sencillos del día a día. Hemos estado juntos en algunos de los momentos más importantes de nuestras vidas, y también en los más difíciles, siempre apoyándonos y creciendo como pareja. En 2019 empezamos a vivir juntos y, un año después, nuestra pequeña familia creció cuando llegó Smokey, nuestro perrito. Desde entonces se convirtió rápidamente en el más consentido de la casa (y también el que tiene más energía).
The Next Chapter / El Siguiente Capítulo
During a trip to Hawaii in August 2025, we took the next step in our journey together and said “yes” to a lifetime with each other. Now, after nearly a decade of laughter and love, we’re so excited to begin this next chapter surrounded by all of you. En agosto de 2025, durante un viaje a Hawái, decidimos dar el siguiente paso y comprometernos. Después de casi una década llena de risas, aventuras y muchos recuerdos, estamos muy emocionados de empezar este nuevo capítulo de nuestras vidas y aún más felices de poder celebrarlo con todos ustedes.
