Our Happily Ever After

Ashlyn started working for CHOC Hospital early in March of 2020. While on a training shift, she was given a tour of the Small Baby Unit. When shown the break room, she came across Daniel eating Nguyen’s Kitchen before his shift. They both just remained coworkers until the summer of 2021 when Daniel finally slipped into Ashlyn’s DM’s and they began talking more and more. Ashlyn invited Daniel to one of her drag racing events and there he met her family. Ashlyn won the event but, unfortunately crashed after the finish line so Daniel had quite the chaotic introduction to the Sacchette family. Shortly after, they went on their first official date to down town Huntington Beach. They were both extremely nervous, but had a great time until Ashlyn’s stomach started bothering her and asked to go home. This made Daniel think she wasn’t into him, but that wasn’t true. Her stomach really did hurt. Ashlyn was into him, but was just unsure of the whole situation and Daniel was very patient letting her figure it out. Their second date was a bit of a surprise, but Daniel went as Ashlyn’s date to her best friend Brittany’s wedding. They had a great time and she was very impressed with him meeting her close friends. Their third date together was a big group date to go axe throwing and it was after this date that Daniel asked Ashlyn to be his girlfriend on 9/5/21. It wasn’t very long after that when they exchanged “I love you’s” to each other. On 11/16/22, on the first night of their first Disney Cruise together, Daniel got down on 1 knee and asked Ashlyn to marry him. And of course, she said yes! Over the past few years they have been enjoying their time being engaged and enjoying life together.
