Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Please feel free to dress in your most comfortable dressy casual clothing. Jeans are definitely welcome as our guys will be wearing them as well. We will have an outside ceremony in the grass. The Cocktail Hour will allow you to mingle inside and outside. The Reception will be inside our event venue building. There will be dancing so don’t punish those feet with uncomfortable shoes.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive in the parking area no later than 2:45. You will have to walk up a grassy or gravel hill from the parking area. The background of the ceremony will be the hill so we ask that cars not people be visible from the viewpoint. If you need to be dropped off at the building then please arrive early enough to be dropped off and have someone return your vehicle to the parking area.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We do not have a wedding registry anywhere as we combined our two households when we moved in together therefore we aren’t in need of household items. We ask if you would like to bless our marriage with a gift that you give gift cards, cash or you can send to our Venmo or Cash App to help us more enjoy our honeymoon and buy things that we might not normally receive as a wedding gift. Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is done by guests themselves in the parking lot at the Venue. You will have to walk up a hill on grass or gravel. If you need to be dropped off at the building please drive to the top of the hill to the VIP Parking and then have someone return your vehicle to the lower parking lot.

Can we take pictures ourselves?

Answer

We would love for our guests to help us document our day however we do ask that you please don’t have your phones visible during the actual ceremony so that the professional photographer doesn’t have to worry about the phones being seen in our wedding album pictures. Also, if the professional photographer is taking pictures other than the ceremony please don’t get in front of her camera or use your flash when she is taking pictures.

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

Yes, we will have our signature cocktails, beer and wine available. We ask that everyone please be responsible in drinking and enjoy your time with us.

What will be served for the reception dinner?

Answer

We will be having a wonderful caterer doing pulled pork, chicken and sides. There will be sweet tea, unsweet tea, punch, and water for drinks

Is the reception kid friendly?

Answer

We will have a playlist chosen by the newlyweds. There may be some songs that contain some words that aren’t necessarily kid friendly but we do want your children to enjoy our night with us as well. The children are free to be on the dance floor or outside. We just ask that you please keep an eye on the children so that there are no accidents.

Are there any other things we should know that aren’t already asked?

Answer

There will be an area set up for people to take pictures. We would love for you to take advantage of that and send us all the pictures you take. We want to see all the fun you have on our special day so take lots of pictures for us!
