Colton and I first met when he started working at Miller and Banks in 2021. We didn't ever say much to one another other than the Hi in passing. It wasn't until September of 2024 that things took a turn. Miller and Banks took a company trip to Vegas to celebrate the end of Tax Season. That year, Raychel and I were invited to join the trip. On the plane ride there Colton was continuously talking about airplanes and how crazy it was that two wings could keep us in the air. It wasn't until the third night in Vegas that Colton finally got the hint that I liked him. We spent the whole night talking about anything and everything. We spent the rest of the trip learning more about each other and, of course, gambling together. When we got back to Nebraska, we talked for endless hours about all the hypothetical scenarios he would come up with in his head. I think I gave him the answers he wanted because on October 9, 2024, he got the courage to ask me to be his girlfriend. Fast forward a year we were on vacation to Pennsylvania to watch the Nebraska vs. Penn State football game. As soon as we got to Happy Valley, Colton told me there was a super cool Steelers speakeasy nearby that he wanted to go to. When we were walking to "the speakeasy", Colton wanted to stop and take a picture in the trees next to the walking trail. He ruined our first picture on purpose and as soon as he reset the timer he got down on one knee and popped the question. He was very sneaky about it because little did I know he was able to get everything on video for both of us to enjoy. Now we are excited to spend our lives together and plan this special day.
