We met in March of 2015, went on a few dates, and then went our separate ways. Every few months we'd check in on one another to see how things were going. Finally, January of 2016 we decided to meet up for supper again...and we've been inseparable ever since.

Instead of buying Christmas presents for one another we decided to buy "memories" by taking a weekend vacation to our favorite place, the U.P. of MI. We loaded up the car and headed North. We arrived at Kitch-iti-kipi, Manistique MI at the very last light from sunset and raced down the icy trail to the raft. Stanley had me set my phone up so we could "get the perfect picture for our Christmas card"...we floated across the Spring and before climbing off the raft, he asked me to marry him. My first answer was "Is this real?" Then lots of tears & "yes."
