For our out-of-town guests, there are plenty of things to do to make the most out of your trip.
Redwood Forests
You’re surrounded by some of the most beautiful redwoods in the world. Arcata Community Forest and Headwaters Forest Reserve are two close-by options. If you are interested in making a day trip, we can recommend some options a bit farther away.
Beaches & Coastline
Moonstone Beach (where we got engaged!) or Clam Beach are great options. Even if it’s foggy, it’s still beautiful.
Downtown Arcata
Arcata Plaza is the heart of town, with local shops, bookstores, coffee spots, and restaurants. If you’re here on a Saturday, the farmers market is a favorite.
Old Town Eureka
Old Town Eureka is a fun spot to wander. You’ll find historic Victorian buildings, local shops, art galleries, and plenty of great places to eat and drink.
Take It Slow
Humboldt County is all about slowing down and enjoying the moment. Wander without a plan, and soak in the redwoods, coast, and quiet beauty
