FAQs

Question

Should I RSVP now or wait until I have all of my information?

Answer

If you know that you are or are not attending, please RSVP now. You can log on again at any time to answer any of the other questions about logistics/kids/etc. But this will allow us to start to gauge the attendance. Thanks!

Question

Do we need to stay at the Liberty Station hotels?

Answer

No, definitely not. San Diego is such an amazing city and we hope you make the most of your weekend, so please feel free to stay where ever you want. Just plan to take an uber to and from the wedding for safety. If you want convenience from the airport and to the venue, then we have rooms blocked at Liberty Station for you at the nice, but not as updated, Courtyard Marriott and Homewood Suites.

Question

What's the Friday event?

Answer

We want to keep things low key, so we have tickets for everyone to attend the baseball game between the San Diego Padres and the Colorado Rockies. We will coordinate with everyone to get you your tickets ahead of time or left at will call. Wear whatever you want, hang out with us, roam the stadium or head to the Park in the Park with the kids. There is something for everyone and we want you to have fun!

Question

Will transportation be provided to Petco Stadium on Friday Night?

Answer

Not for this event. We figure people will come to the stadium whenever they arrive in San Diego or depending on how long they want to stay at the game. So feel free to take an uber or walk if you are staying nearby. There are parking garages near the stadium, but we are not sure how available they will be or the cost.

Question

What's the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We are going for a fun, summer chic look. The venue is outside the entire time and on hard packed dirt/turf/dance floor, so plan your shoes accordingly. Feel free to bring your flip flops for dancing! Men can be in a light suit, khakis and a button down, sear sucker, but no ties needed. Women can be in a nice sundress to summer cocktail dress. Kids just need to look cute :-)

Question

Will the happy couple be in town before or after the wedding?

Answer

Yes, please let us know your plans and hopefully we can find additional time to see everyone.

Question

Are you going on a honeymoon?

Answer

We will be taking a mini-moon after the wedding for a few days in San Diego to relax and bask in the sunshine as newlyweds. We will be crowd sourcing our honeymoon location from all of you at the wedding! Please think about the amazing places you have been or those locations you've always dreamed of going that you think would make an amazing honeymoon for us in 2020. We can't wait to see what you all recommend!

Question

What's the deal with kids?

Answer

We would love to see your kids, but if you want a weekend without them feel free to use this as an excuse to leave them at home (with the grandparents of course)! Friday Night - the baseball game is a great place for kids of all ages. Under 3ft tall they do not need a ticket, but we will have extra seats in the stands if you don't want them on your lap the whole time. There is also a playground and field for them to run around. Saturday Ceremony and Reception - Kids are welcome to stay as long as you want them. But since it starts at 5pm, we understand bedtime will come quickly for some of them. We are going to have the names of a few local babysitters that have been used by friends in the area (all great references), so if you want to arrange for a babysitter part way through the night please let us know and we can help arrange that. We figured cocktail hour (530-7pm) might be a great chance to go sing a lullaby if you are staying close :-)
