Fashion is one of the biggest polluters of our planet. We are asking that you utilize clothes you already own if possible. Please see our specific events for the attire for each night.
Our advice is to be prepared for anything. In Ireland, there is always potential for a storm. April historically holds temperatures in the low to mid-50s.
We are hoping to have an outdoor ceremony but this will be weather permitting.
We ask our guests to head straight to the cocktail hour to mingle and enjoy served canapes and drinks.
In terms of transportation to get to the venue please see our travel page. For those that choose to drive, Maps will be your best friend. It will take you right to the front of the lodge where you will see our bellman who will advise you on where to park and assist with unloading your bags.
We recommend guests arrive around 3:00 pm on April 14th for our pre-wedding drinks. This will allow you enough time to get settled in your room and freshen up before the welcome reception begins. We will not be serving food during the welcome drinks. Please explore the town of Virginia and have a nice dinner before welcome drinks. On the day of the wedding, we ask that people arrive at the lodge at 3:00 pm.
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
The Lodge has many options for accommodation, from apartments to tiny houses. We will pre-allocate these based on guests attending. If you have specific needs please reach out.
Yes. If you have dietary restrictions please let include those on your RSVP. Anything not noted on your RSVP will not be accommodated for.
The chef is happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions. He has asked that we provide them with plenty of notice so please notify us of any dietary restrictions in your RSVP.
We have decided not do a registry, as we feel that your presence is far more important than presents! There will be a card box at the castle for those who would like to contribute to our honeymoon.
We ask that all guests arrange their own transportation depending on their needs.
The Lodge will be providing an Irish breakfast for the day of the wedding and the day after.
We’d love to know if you can make it (we hope you can!). Please RSVP by November via our RSVP section here.
