Our ceremony and reception will take place outdoors. Unfortunately our dream of a warm spring garden wedding will be foiled by a late season cold front :( While we are incredibly disappointed, we cannot control the weather. We can however try to prepare to the best of our ability. We will have hot coffee, hand warmers, blankets and outdoor heaters. While the dress code is cocktail, we would rather you be warm than stylish. We ask that you try to stick to no jeans or hats if possible. We look forward to having a great time!
Our wedding dress code WAS cocktail attire, however due to the recent weather forecast, we are asking you dress warm and look nice to the best of your ability. This is a celebration and we would like you dress up, and we also understand that may be tricky with 55 degree weather. If possible, we kindly ask that you join us in wearing our wedding theme colors, of blue, green, black or earth tones, and save jeans, hats, white and bright colors for another occasions. We have provided a palette above for inspiration however you are not limited solely to these colors. TThis venue has both grass, cobblestone, and brick walkways. Please plan your footwear accordingly.
Guests will be allowed on the property beginning at 4:30pm. Ashlie and Caleb will be walking about the ceremony space before then, so please do not arrive early, as you will not be granted entry. We ask that you are seated promptly at 5:00, as the ceremony will begin then. Feel free to enjoy the light refreshments before being seated.
Weston Gardens is a plant nursery and store. The festivities will take place across the street. When you arrive, you will park in the gravel lot across from the store, adjacent to the venue. There will be parking attendants directing traffic. Transportation is not provided, however we have made sure to select a hotel that is only a 15 minute drive from the venue. Lyft and Uber also service the area. You may leave your car overnight, provided you are able to pick it up by 10:00am on March 18th.
Food is arguably the best part of a wedding, next to the marriage of course! As such, we have planned several opportunities for you to enjoy. We will have popcorn, coffee, tea, and lemonade available before the ceremony. Cocktail hour will include an open bar and passed hors d'oeuvres. Dinner will be three "action stations," with your choice of tri-tip steak, roasted turkey breast, build your own risotto with chicken or shrimp, and build your own sautéed vegetables, all prepared by chefs on site, followed by wedding cake. We ask that you please let us know of any dietary restrictions when you RSVP. We will do our best to accommodate.
We are having an "unplugged" ceremony, and ask that you please silence and put away your cell phones upon being seated. We have hired a wonderful photographer who will take the photos.
If you have chosen to purchase a gift, you are welcome to bring it with you and leave on the designated gift table upon your arrival. We will have someone place it in a secure location before the ceremony begins. If you choose to mail your gift while we are away, the concierge will sign for your package and hold until we are able to pick up.
Come as you are! We know many will be stopping by on your way out of town, so please do not feel pressure to dress up for brunch. La Madeline is a casual cafe and food will be buffet style, come and go as you please.
