Our Awesome Espousal

We are a kooky and non-traditional couple with friends and family all over the globe. As such, we have chosen to have not one, not two, but three (!!!) events to celebrate our kick-off to the wide world of matrimony. Guests are invited to attend any and all events. Everyone is invited to everything and no one is expected to anything! All three events are equally important to us, so we hope to see you somewhere along this journey as time and resources allow.

After a few chat exchanges on OkCupid we met on a Sunday morning at 11 am for coffee at Rhino Coffee in Shreveport. Maegan Daigle was on hand, working on her thesis, to provide support in case of "stranger danger" or if Ashlie needed an extraction. After coffee and a lot of talking, we decided to walk over to the Norton Art Gallery. After checking out some art, and realizing by this point it was dinner time, we headed to Sushiko for dinner. En route, outside of the Norton on the lawn, Ashlie showed Albert a yoga move she was proud to have recently mastered. And he still decided to go to dinner. While at dinner, they covered a host of topics including cooking, where Albert casually mentioned he once had raised and prepared a turducken. Ashlie, taken aback with this feat, led Albert to think she was maybe mad about it (She was. Because she had never done something so impressive). Nine hours later, the date concluded, and Ashlie gave Albert her phone number. Albert tried to play it cool and wait to reach out. Ashlie was able to hold out all the way until Tuesday, and texted him first. And the rest, as they say, is history.
