We’re Getting Married!

Chloe and Cameron were introduced back in 2014. Chloe was in her sophomore year of college, and Cameron was just coming back from AIT basic training. It was divine intervention that both Chloe and Cameron's closest friends thought they would be a perfect match for one another.

It was the Fall of 2014 when I met Cameron for the first time. He and his friend Chris drove to Schererville, Indiana to spend time with Darian and I (Kind of like a double date). The first thing I noticed when he walked in was his eyes and his smile. He had my attention right away! We started talking and realized that we had more in common than we thought. Toward the end of our conversation he said something that resonated with me. He told me that, "One day you are going to be my wife and change my life forever!" What he said startled me, because my father had said the same thing to my mother when he first met her.

On April 20, 2019 Chloe planned what was supposed to be a going away and birthday dinner for myself. Little did she know that she was planning her own engagement party as well. That day was filled with happiness, love, and nervousness. I do not recall being that anxious in my life! I knew that she wanted her parents at this occasion,because of the distance they were unable to make it. I took it upon myself to have as much of my family and hers to help fill that void. I had her plan for about 25 people for the event, yet I took it upon myself to invite that many guests of my own. As the guest I invited kept coming in, I was afraid that Chloe would know something was going on. After everyone arrived, the guests were getting a little anxious and it started to get late. My nervous intensified with time. I finally decided to call for everyone's attention to share the special monumental moment that was about to happen. As I began my speech I had our waiter bring out the bill, and inside the bill was an intimate letter I had written for the love of my life the week before. While she reading the letter, they brought out a plated desert which had the very first ring Chloe laid eyes on. As she turned around everyone in the restaurant started rooting and screaming. She was so full of emotions she started to cry, and in the midst of her tears I got one knee and asked the women of my dreams "Will You Marry Me?" She told me that she wouldn't have it any other way!
