Maid of Honor
16 years ago, Vannga and Ashley met on a fateful night, in the vaunted halls of a perennial UCLA establishment: the frat house — where they shared [one] drink, danced all night, and laid the foundation for the defining BFF-ship of lifetime. True partners crime, Coachella, and Curto-ship, Vannga and Ashley have seen each other through mischief and mayhem, work and play, to the realization of each other’s dreams. Vannga sleeps soundly at night knowing that her life is rich with the love, loyalty, and fearsomeness of a 100% BAD B*TCH. And also, having trained all her life for this very moment, looks forward to M.O.H-ing for the Curtos.
Best Man
Having crossed paths in college, their friendship truly blossomed while running amuck in New York and even surviving natural disasters with nothing but their wits and a couple packets of Mac n Cheese. Having learned that they could weather any storm, these days they love to let loose by staying at home and enjoying each others company.
Matron of Honor
Ashley and Christine met in sixth grade after realizing they were 2 out of 3 Chinese girls in their entire class. They immediately became BFFs and spent an inordinate amount of time playing Mario Party, hanging out at Stoneridge Mall, and daydreaming of popular white boys - only to later GLOW UP together and end up engaged/married to said popular white boys.
Maid of Honor
I have known Ashley my entire life. She had four glorious peaceful years before her menace of a little sister came into the world and all hell broke loose. Luckily, the Villa sisters enjoy causing a ruckus. Ashley has an inherent fearlessness that is so rare and has taught me more life lessons than I could ever give her credit for. She lives life to its extreme. My sister absolutely destroys every barrier that life throws at her while simultaneously living in the moment and loving those around her with an unmatched voracity. It has been an honor to bear witness to my sister’s growth into the woman she is today and I cannot wait to see the life Ashley and Drew create together.
Bridesmaid
Six years ago, I accepted a job to work for my sister’s best friend’s budding new company in the “social media space...something like Facebook.” I moved to LA for this new position, as Ashley Villa’s assistant. My first task on the job was to make sure her birthday hotel room was filled with balloons in her favorite color — it had to be pink and it had to be perfect. That’s when I learned the essence of Ashley: someone who knew how to have fun, and someone who meant business. Since then, we’ve shared experiences that run the gamut - from enjoying vacations, assessing the motives of this new boy named “Andrew Curto,” to speaking at Teen Vogue Summit. It’s been the friendship of a lifetime and the most literal definition of work hard, play hard. I love you endlessly — cheers to the Curtos!
Groomsman
Alex and Drew have a deep if not checkered past. Punctuated by their early childhood activities of causing havoc all around Danville, they ruled their neighborhoods as mini criminal masterminds. Whether on their Go-Ped scooters, shooting hoops, or dominating at De La Salle Football, Alex and Drew will be friends forever. These days, they enjoy long days on the Delta, catching fish and throwing them back.
Bridesmaid
Ashley and I met on vacation in Las Vegas in our mid-20s and reconnected a few years later when I moved to LA from Canada. During my relocation I was struggling to find other girlfriends who were just as career oriented as me and I really admired Ashley’s ability to live such a fun and full life while being a successful, driven business woman. Ashley and I quickly became close friends and would often have sleepovers at her place in Marina del Rey. Whenever I used be the third-wheel on fun dates with Drew and Ashley — Drew would end up being the third-wheel. Looking forward to being in the wedding party, seeing the two love-birds tie the knot and dancing the night away :)
Groomsman
John and Drew first became friends when they met back in the 6th grade. Shortly thereafter they became neighbors, and their friendship grew even closer. They spent their childhood years together riding ATVs between their parent’s homes, shooting guns, and fishing the local ponds. Family vacations together consisted of trips to Mexico where they enjoyed skimboarding, free diving, and hanging out with models. These days, the two catch up frequently via phone, grab a tequila when Drew is back home, or go for a run around the old neighborhood.
Bridesmaid
At the crux of girls becoming women, I met Ashley at my end of time at UCLA. Without skipping a beat we connected in ways only soul sisters can; miles apart or moments together, we have stuck side by side and uplifted one another. My love - to the next chapter of your incredible life!
Bridesmaid
Chantel and Ashley met through Chantel's now-ef bf on fated day in San Diego- needless to say, he’s no longer around but they’re still the best of friends. From nights out on the westside of LA, to dinner parties at home to couples trips to Mammoth and Big Bear, Drew and Derek (Chantel’s fiancé) knows it is Trouble spelled with a capital T when these 2 get together!
Groomsman
Niels and Drew met the very first day of ASU in Econ 101 because they were both wearing NOR*CAL T-shirt’s and immediately formed a lifelong bond. Also - through their *highly responsible* Fraternal Activities. Over the years, Niels has never ceased to impress Drew (and now Ashley) with his highly ambitious and unexpected enthusiasms that span: country music, doing the absolute most, and predicting the future (knowing Drew would marry Ashley from Day 1).
