Our Story
We met in New York City at the Central Park ice skating rink in December 2015 -- a beautiful day with friends (photo, above).
Both studying at NYU grad school, both from Atlanta, and living just blocks apart in Manhattan, we took a few laps together and chatted about school and life. From the ice rink to a group dinner: Ashley caught Jonathan staring across the table on several occasions; Jonathan, needless to say, was spellbound.
After our first date, Ashley was intrigued: cautiously optimistic yet unsure what to make of his sparkly yoga pants on Instagram. Jonathan for his part was enraptured by Ashley's reserved mystique, cool fashion sense, and unique combination of Southern belle and New York badassary.
Just over three years after we met, we got engaged at the Atlantic Station ice skating rink in Atlanta in January 2019.
You're such an important part of our story. We are so excited to celebrate with you. We hope you will be able to join us in Grayton Beach, Florida.
