Question

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

Yes. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner are all outdoors. There is a sitting room if you need to get out of the sun. There are proper indoor restrooms. The ground is mostly brick and concrete and I believe the grass is Astroturf so heels if you want to wear heels you shouldn't sink into the dirt.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

We love your kids, we really do! However, the wedding is adults only unless otherwise specified on your invite.

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5pm. Please arrive by 4:30pm to have ample time to find a parking spot and a seat.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our guests all dressed up! The wedding's dress code is black tie optional. Typically that means suits and tuxedos for men, and floor length or midi length formal dresses for women. Please no denim or shorts, and please refrain from wearing white, ivory, or cream. Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer who will take many photographs of the ceremony that we would be happy to share. After the ceremony, feel free to take photos during cocktail hour, dinner, and the wedding reception.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We kindly ask that you do not bring a guest unless you have been formally given a plus one. If you have a plus one, it will show up when you RSVP on the website. Please input their name! You are welcome to reach out to Ryan or Katie to inquire.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes.

Question

Where should I fly into?

Answer

There is an international airport in Tucson which is about 20 minutes away from the city and is pretty quiet with minimal crowds, although that may be affected by the holiday weekend. The next closest airport would be Sky Harbor in Phoenix, which may have more flight options. It's about a 2 hour drive from Sky Harbor to Tucson but may be an option if you choose to make a trip out of the wedding and want to check out Phoenix as well.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There is a decent amount of free street parking outside the venue, and a 50 car parking lot located only Franklin adjacent to the venue with a sign that says "Kingan Gardens Parking". If needed, you can park in the surrounding neighborhoods. If you come across a parking meter, parking is usually free on weekends and is only metered M-F, 8-5.

Question

It's in January! Will it be cold?

Answer

Tucson is the perfect place to be in January! We typically do not get snow, and average temperatures for an afternoon in January are usually in the mid 60s. However, the desert cools off quickly at night time, so definitely bring a sweater or coat. The venue will have heat lamps/ outdoor heaters.
