Celebrate Good Times

Both on the heels of break ups we decided to give the dating app Bumble a try. Unexpectedly, we found each other and began exchanging messages. Our first date was at Sava's restaurant in Ann Arbor, Michigan. With good conversation and good food we didn't want the date to end. Later in the night, Robert revealed it was his birthday at midnight. So we continued on to celebrate his birthday and have been inseparable and in love since!

We went on a road trip to California together. During this trip, we visited Kansas City, MO. Robert was trying to find the perfect place to propose and he discovered that Kansas City had an area inspired by Venice, Italy. He planned a gondola ride near the river walk and selected a package that came with a bottle of champagne and a special message to kick off the proposal. He was nervous but asked me to be his wife and I said yes in excitement! The rest of the night we drank free champagne to celebrate!

COVID-19 has really shaken our lives up. We had hoped to celebrate our nuptials with all of our loved ones in 2021. Alas, that wasn't possible. BUT we just couldn't wait to say "I do" and make it official. So we decided to elope! We stood in front of our parents and siblings to join in holy matrimony on June 12, 2021 in Detroit, MI. Don’t worry, though. Our love is so grand and you all are so important to us that we decided to have a second wedding celebration! We want the people who have loved and supported us to celebrate in the joining of our lives. We will have a proper celebration in 2022. Be sure to look out for those details in the coming months.
