We attended our pharmacy school orientation at Rutgers University on the same day. While shyly sitting on the side of the auditorium, Yoyo overheard a friendly girl introducing herself to the other incoming freshmen. Her name was Ashley and everyone was amazed that a west-coaster would come to New Jersey. Little did Yoyo know they would be getting married a few years later. Little did Ashley know Yoyo existed.

Our first real conversation happened a few months later when we found ourselves in the same friend group. Yoyo, out of pure laziness, also began copying Ashley's class schedule every semester and we began to spend more and more time together from then on. Naturally, we became study partners and our friendship grew in between the cramming, snacking, and napping. Yoyo eventually caught feelings and decided to tell her. Ashley would eventually reciprocate, but not until 6 months later and we started dating 10.1.2016.

After nearly 5 years of dating, we felt ready for the next step. Yoyo began planning to propose and started coordinating the surprise with family and friends. A number of booked flights, unexpected weather forecasts, and a venue-change later, Ashley found herself being suspiciously led through a garden in central New Jersey. With both their parents and siblings in their places, Yoyo brought her to a spot to "take a photo". Once the photo was "over", Ashley turned around and Yoyo was down on one knee. Yoyo asked Ashley to marry him. Ashley said "YES!"

Yoyo & Ashley tied the knot this summer in Seattle. Despite forecasts of clouds and rain, the skies cleared up just in time for the wedding ceremony. It was truly the perfect day filled with joy, love, and so much dancing! . . . . . We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!!
