Will and I met in the cafeteria at our high school during freshmen year. We sat at the same lunch table. We were friends, that ended up dating. He was my first love. The first person I ever completely trusted. The first person that could talk me down, even in my teenage years. We dated for some time, then we ended things before he moved back to CA. Once in CA we became best friends. He was my rock, even at such a young age. We talked constantly. I would wait up with house phone in hand, waiting for his call so not to wake my parents. Since it was usually 12 am my time. Or would stay up all night chatting on AIM. We made plans of having our trailer down by the water, with a swing in the back yard. Kids with silly dreams, living on opposite sides of the country. As we got older, we had other relationships. Sometimes we lost touch for a bit. Through the years we always found out way back to each other. We could always pick up right where we left off as best friends. No matter what happened in my life I knew he would be there if I needed him. Same for me with him. He was always in the back of my mind. I never stopped loving him. Eventually, we both got our “practice marriages” out of the way. He decided he was going to go all in and move out here to be together. So thats what we did. I found us a house, and he packed everything up and drove across country 6 years ago. Now we have four amazing children and they get to grow up seeing what true love is. A year ago on my birthday I was in the kitchen doing the dishes. The kids were all sitting around the kitchen table. Will grabbed me by my hand and got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. One of the happiest days of my life. Now we look forward to sharing our love with all of you. We want to celebrate our family and our long road to get here. With the people that mean the most to us.
