Courtney Guerra

Maid of Honor

The Best Friend / My Jalapeño Courtney and I met back in 2012 while working at Little Caesar’s, which, believe it or not, was the place to work in our hometown at the time. I was still in high school, and she had just graduated the year before, in 2011. Some of my favorite memories from those days are our spontaneous late-night swims back at my house, talking about everything and nothing, just soaking in that kind of carefree joy that only exists at that age, and it laid the groundwork for the bond we share today. As life moved forward, it took us in different directions. But even with the distance, she was never far from my thoughts. And when we reconnected, it felt like no time had passed. That same sense of ease, trust, and laughter came rushing back, -only now, it was deeper, richer, and shaped by everything we’d experienced along the way. Courtney is one of those rare people who loves with her whole heart. She’s fiercely loyal, quietly generous, and always shows up, not just for the good times, but for the real, raw, and sometimes messy moments too. Whether it's with an encouraging word, a thoughtful gesture, or just her calming presence, she’s the kind of friend you thank the universe for. Walking through this chapter of life with her by my side means the world to me. She’s more than just a friend; she’s a piece of home.

Angie Ware

Bridesmaid

The Lifelong Friend / My Favorite Leo Angie and I met while working at LG&E in 2016. Angie is honest, intelligent, and fiercely loyal. She’s never been afraid to speak her mind, and she’s always shown how deeply she cares about our friendship. We ended up spending most mornings at my desk, catching up for hours and checking in throughout the day. Our “desk talks” became part of our daily routine, filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and let’s be real, plenty of distractions. Honestly, the only time we ever really got any work done was when one of us went on vacation! Even after leaving that job, we’ve always managed to stay connected. Sometimes we check in monthly, other times a couple of months will go by. We might only meet up once or twice a year for lunch, but thank goodness for social media, right? It helps us keep up with each other’s lives. And no matter how much time passes, our friendship never misses a beat. Every time we reconnect, it’s like no time has passed at all. What started as an unexpected connection has turned into a friendship that has lasted through the seasons of life and only grown stronger with time. I feel incredibly lucky to call her my friend, and even more so to be walking through this chapter of life with her by my side.

Caylin Spencer

Bridesmaid

The Fierce Protector / My Chosen Family Caylin may technically be my fiancé’s cousin, but from the very first moment we met, she’s been my family in every sense of the word. It didn’t take long for us to bond over everything, -from our shared conspiracies to our dream of one day having a family compound where our girls could grow up together. Our bond deepened even more when I became pregnant in 2021. Suddenly, we found ourselves on the same wavelength, connecting from our views on birth to the joy and chaos of motherhood. Caylin became one of my greatest sources of support, -whether she was answering my endless questions, easing my worries, or simply showing up without judgment. She’s always had this beautiful way of offering love, wisdom, and strength, no matter what I needed. What I admire most about Caylin is her unapologetic fierceness in being exactly who she is. She’s bold, she’s strong, and yet, she carries so much compassion with her. Her ability to speak her truth, while always leading with kindness and understanding, is a rare gift, and it’s what makes our friendship so strong. It’s crazy to think that when I first met her, she was “just” my fiancé’s cousin, but now, she’s one of the most important people in my life. There’s no label that could ever fully describe what she means to me. I’m so incredibly lucky to call her my friend, and even luckier to have her by my side as I take this next step in my life.

Segen Tella

Bridesmaid

The Old Soulful Friendship / My Chiropractor Guru Segen and I first met in a professional setting, -She was my chiropractor! From the beginning, I was struck by how composed and self-assured she was; I actually assumed she was older than she is, simply because of the way she carried herself. During our early conversations, she mentioned her son, Zakai, and I quickly learned he and Mila were only four months apart. What began as weekly appointments soon turned into unhurried conversations that often stretched far beyond the scheduled time, we just clicked. Our connection grew organically. A breakfast at House of Marigold led to a spontaneous shopping trip to Old Navy, and a few weeks later, we were setting up playdates for our children. From there, our friendship steadily deepened. We started showing up for each other in more ways, -encouraging one another at the gym, celebrating birthdays, and sharing those long, soul-nourishing conversations that somehow make life feel lighter. What I cherish most about Segen is her quiet strength and genuine spirit. She’s endlessly kind, thoughtful, and the kind of friend who hypes you up in all the best ways; not out of obligation, but because she truly sees and believes in you. I feel incredibly lucky to call her a friend, and even more so to walk through this chapter of life with her by my side.

Ashli Aldrich

Bridesmaid

The Serendipitous Friend / My Coffee and Conversations Queen Ashli and I met through our daughters’ preschool program. She worked in administration at the church, and every day when I picked up Mila, I’d hear all about how close she and Ashli’s daughter, Avi, were becoming. Naturally, I was eager to find out who Avi’s mom and dad were so we could set up a playdate... and lo and behold, Avi’s mom had been checking us in every morning! I was so excited. I immediately creeped her Facebook (as one does) and saw her in this amazing peacock dress, -which of course gave me the perfect excuse to tell her how much I love peacocks too. Over coffee, she shared stories about her travels, her incredible career, and the different countries she’s lived in. And did I mention her husband is a chef? Chef’s kiss. Since then, Ashli has shown up for me in so many ways, and she’s surprised me with the most thoughtful things, not because of the cost, but because she's kind and everything Peacock her or her momma sees, it has to be for me. We’ve shared countless heart-to-hearts over coffee while our girls played nearby, and I’m so grateful for the friendship that’s grown between us... one that’s filled with depth, laughter, and so much love. I feel incredibly lucky to call her a friend, and even more so to walk through this chapter of life with her by my side.

Brandon Young

Best Man

A Brother by Bond I first met Brandon at Martinrea, and from day one, we clicked. He quickly became my right-hand man—not just at work, but in life. Whether it was a work issue, personal challenge, or just needing someone to vent to, Brandon was always there. In 2017, he came to me with something big: he was planning a surprise beach proposal to Shelby. I still remember us hunting for that perfect baby blue shirt—the one that made his eyes pop just enough. That small detail showed how much he cared and how important it was for him to get it right. In 2018, during one of the hardest times in my life, Brandon and Shelby didn’t hesitate to welcome me into their home. For two months, they gave me more than just a place to stay—they gave me stability and support when I needed it most. I’ll never forget that kindness. When Brandon asked me to be his best man, it was one of the greatest honors of my life. I stressed over that speech, because I knew how important the moment was—I didn’t want to let him down. We’ve grown together, personally and professionally. From supervisors to managers, we’ve leaned on each other every step of the way. It’s rare to find someone you can work with, laugh with, and trust with everything—and I’ve found that in Brandon. He’s more than my best man—he’s my brother. And I’m proud to stand by him.

Andrew Murphy

Groomsman

Brother | Best Friend | Lifelong Example Andrew is six years older than me, but from early on, that age gap didn’t mean distance—it meant guidance. He’s always been someone I could look up to, not just because he’s my older brother, but because of the steady presence and loyalty he’s shown throughout my life. From 2014 to 2018, we shared a home. Those four years weren’t just about coexisting—they were about truly building a bond. Somewhere between the late-night video games, the spontaneous food runs, and the quiet talks that turned into life conversations, we stopped being just brothers. We became best friends. We even entered fatherhood side by side—our daughters born just two months apart. That chapter gave us something new to share: the joys, the challenges, the laughs. Watching him step into that role gave me even more reason to respect him. Being Andrew’s best man at his wedding was one of the greatest honors of my life. Not because of the title, but because of everything it symbolized—years of shared memories, personal growth, and a bond that’s only grown stronger. Andrew is the kind of brother every guy hopes to have. He shows up when it matters, and has always been someone I can count on. I’m proud of who he is, and even prouder to call him my brother.

Bryce Murphy

Groomsman

Bryce Murphy Brother | Lifelong Teammate My little big brother. We’re four years apart, and like most brothers growing up, we had our share of ups and downs—fights over nothing, games that got too competitive, and a bond that was always there, even when we didn’t have the words to say it. But as we grew older, things shifted. We both started working on ourselves, finding our own paths, and in the process, our relationship grew stronger. We didn’t just become better brothers—we became friends. The kind of friends who may not talk every day or see each other every month, but always show up when it matters. That’s who Bryce is to me. Someone I can count on without hesitation. Someone who understands the value of loyalty, growth, and showing up when it counts. Having him stand by my side on my wedding day means the world, because it represents everything our relationship has become—solid, supportive, and built to last. I’m proud to have him as my brother, and even prouder to have him as one of my groomsmen.

Zak Richardson

Groomsman

Friend | Teammate | Birthday Twin for Life I first met Zak in 2023 at our current job. At the beginning, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect—but it didn’t take long for that to change. Once we started talking, those workday conversations turned into real life talks—the kind you don’t expect to have over SLDC troubleshooting. But that’s who Zak is. Genuine, grounded, and someone you just click with once you really get to know him. Our first connection was through video games, but as we kept talking, it became clear how much we had in common. The more we shared, the more natural the friendship became. From late-night card games and laughs with his family to those quiet check-ins during stressful days, we built something real. One of the wildest parts? A few months into our friendship, we randomly discovered we share the same birthday. I mean, how often does your best friend end up being your birthday twin? That moment sealed it—we weren’t just good friends anymore, we were locked in for life. Watching Zak grow from a section head into a strong, respected supervisor has been incredible. It’s not just professional growth—it’s personal. And I couldn’t be prouder of the man he’s becoming. He’s someone I can always count on—whether I just need someone to listen, or I need advice that’s honest, thoughtful, and real. Zak isn’t just a coworker, a card buddy, or a guy who shares my birthday—he’s a lifelong friend, and I’m grateful to have him by my side.

Rick “Weeg” Vinson

Groomsman

The Uncle I Never Knew I Needed I met Weeg back in 2020, just a few months after I started dating Ashley. At first, I wasn’t exactly sure what to make of him—but it didn’t take long to realize just how special this man is. Over time, I came to see that Weeg is someone who always puts others first. He leads with loyalty, shows up without hesitation, and quietly becomes the kind of person you can’t imagine your life without. After our daughter was born, something shifted between us. Our relationship deepened, and I began to understand the kind of man Weeg truly is—steadfast, generous, and full of wisdom that somehow always shows up at just the right time. I know without a doubt that if I ever need anything, I can call him and he’ll be there. Some of my favorite memories with him are the simple ones: late-night shuffleboard games with Ashley, Julie, and Mila, full of laughs and stories. Or spontaneous Roosters runs—because let’s be honest, all it takes is a single text and he’s ready. And of course, his boat—last summer on the water with him was unforgettable. Those days brought us together in a way that only family can. Weeg may not be related by blood, but he’s become family in every way that counts. He’s the uncle I never knew I needed—and now, I couldn’t imagine this journey without him.
