Is this a wedding ceremony?

This is a "Celebration of Marriage"--essentially a huge party celebrating our private vows, which we will be taking that morning. Think of this as a cross between a reception and a block party. Although we are taking our vows privately, this is the main event!

So it's a private party?

Answer

That's correct. The Mayfair will be wedding guests only for the entire day until 10pm. You will have to give your name at the door to be admitted. Upon giving your name you will be given a wristband.

Will there be food at the party?

Answer

Absolutely! The Menu is as follows: Raw and chargrilled oysters Charcuterie station and grazing table with cheeses, fruits, veggies, meats & dips Mini Bahn-Mi sandwiches Spring rolls with sauce Cucumber quinoa salad Dessert table with various cakes and treats

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The bar will be open from the start of the party at 6pm until 10pm, where we will switch to a cash bar. At that time we will also open the bar to outside patrons.

What's the parking situation?

Answer

There is usually street parking on Amelia and the surrounding blocks. It is mostly residential so parking is not too difficult especially if you don't mind a short walk.

Will I be able to play the jukebox?

Answer

No, we will have the jukebox turned off until 10pm because we are having a DJ in-house for the party.

What's the vibe?

Answer

The vibe is less tradition, more party! No cake cutting & no speeches. Just dancing, eating and drinking the night away!
