While getting to know each other, we found out that we have a mutual love for snowboarding. We decided to take a Valentine’s Day trip every year to go snowboarding. This year was difficult, because Covid rocked the world. Despite being sold out on Saturday, my brother-in-law, Scott convinced Tyler to go to WV to snowboard on Sunday. He knew that if Tyler was going to propose it just had to be on top of a mountain. On Sunday when we get to the mountain, my sister, Amanda and I share a lift to the top and the boys are a couple chairs back. We get off first and start to strap in as the guys get off the lift. They yelled for us to come back to where they’re standing. Amanda and I are anxious to get on the slope so we’re trying to rush them. Scott distracts me with a funny story and as he finishes I turn around and ask what we’re doing. There’s Tyler, down on one knee with the most beautiful ring that represents myself and my two kids, Thomas and Bailey. I’ll always remember this story. Scott was right. It just had to be at the top of the mountain with my boots strapped into my board.
