Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will take place at the Fluegel Alumni Center with the ceremony outdoors and the reception inside. Immediately following the ceremony, cocktail hour will be held at the Blue & Gold Bar and waterfront terrace overlooking overlooking College Creek, the Naval Academy, and downtown Annapolis. Dinner and dancing will take place in the ADM Robert J. Natter ‘67 and Family Fleet and Marine Forces Conference Room.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 20-30 minutes early to allow time before the ceremony begins. Doors will not be open to guests prior to 4:00pm.

Do I need special access to get to the Fluegel Alumni Center?

Answer

No. Because the wedding is taking place off of the Naval Academy grounds, all guests may access the wedding venue without need for badging/access controls.

Where should I park?

Answer

The venue has ample parking but we recommend taking advantage of Uber/Lyft if possible to/from your location.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black Tie Optional / formal attire. Think elegant, summery, and polished: - Suits or tuxes for gentlemen - Cocktail dresses or formal dresses for ladies - Lightweight fabrics encouraged for the June waterfront setting

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Cocktail hour will take place in the Blue & Gold Bar and adjacent Young Terrace, followed by an indoor reception.

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

Dinner will be served gourmet buffet-style, featuring a variety of thoughtfully curated options to allow guests to mingle and enjoy the evening at their own pace.

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, the ceremony and wedding will be an adults-only celebration. Teenagers by exception. Please feel free to bring them to the gathering at our house on Saturday!

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Yes! We’ll start the evening with an elegant dinner-party vibe and transition into dancing later in the night.

Are there hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please look at the website section "Getting There" and see the recommended hotels and applicable room block discount codes. Of course you are welcome to stay wherever you like and are comfortable with.
