Maid of Honor
Introjussiling... my high school (and forevermore) best friend- Carlea Jussila! Carlea and I have been through all the important milestones together and I could not imagine anyone better to stand by my side on this important day. Carlea is special to me because she is thoughtful, loyal, hilarious, and one of the only people who (consistently) laughs at my jokes. In order to marry Thomas, he had to be Carlea-approved. Carlea loves to say, "We like Thomas. Don't scare him away," so I think he passed the test.
Maid of Honor
Sabine, Bean, Beans, Beana, my sister- any of these name my college (and forevermore) best friend! Sabine and I like to say we're sisters because we basically shared my childhood bedroom for a few months and lived together at college for two years. All the years without a sister finally didn't matter because I found Sabine! She is the best travel partner, shopping buddy, and gift giver that I know. I love that Sabine is always willing to help with any project, makes everything easier and more fun, and she and I have the coolest memories together- Harry Potter World, Hilton Head, Six Flags. I definitely need her to stand by me on this special day!
Bridesmaid
Thomas's sister, Laura is one of the kindest and most considerate souls that I know. I am so excited to have her as a sister and of course, a bridesmaid! I know that she will always offer a listening ear and a helpful hint if I need it. She never fails to make everyone feel included and she is such a calming person to be around. But when she reveals her goofy side, you know you're in for a night of laughs and fun. And most importantly, Laura is the ultimate ally in the game, Avalon ;) I am blessed to know her!
Bridesmaid
Bailey Rose Kelly was my rock throughout college-- we were doubles partners on the tennis team for two years and lived together for three. On every tennis spring break trip, we needed to room together and I always wanted her to sit by me on every van ride. Even though we probably spent too much time together, we could never stop making each other laugh and annoying the rest of the team with our constant singing and joking around. Bailey is such a loyal friend, and I could not imagine this day without her! Bailey always knew I would end up with Thomas, even before we started dating. Bailey and I used to go to the piano room at school and she played "walking down the aisle music" and we would imagine me walking down the aisle to Thomas. She called it!
Bridesmaid
Ananda is my graduate school twin! We have done nearly everything together these past 2.5 years-- class, work, internships, etc. Even though I don't think we look that similar, Ananda and I always get confused for each other at work, which keeps us laughing. To know Ananda is to know a fun-loving, caring, authentic individual. She is the best listener, motivator, and procrastinator you'll ever meet, haha. It has been such a joy getting to know Ananda while being in La Crosse and who knows if I would have gotten through grad school without her. I am able to be my most authentic self with Ananda because she accepts everyone for who they are. And, she asks the best questions! There is almost nothing better than a long car ride with her to process all of our thoughts and feelings.
Best Man
Jake is an amazing brother and best friend because he is always willing to listen to and support me in anything from school, to life, to relationships. We shared a bedroom for 18 years and started out in college together. When I moved away to La Crosse I felt like I wouldn’t have my school buddy anymore or someone to always sit next to in class. But whenever we reunite I know he will excitedly show interest in any updates I have for him. I wouldn’t be who I am today without him, and I never would have met Ashley either.
Groomsman
Matthew has always been one of my biggest role models and I’ve followed in his footsteps in numerous ways. Because Matthew played soccer, I played soccer. He was a golf caddie, so of course I did that too. I admire how smart, generous, and loving he is. Matthew is full of great advice and always takes me under his wing. I’m blessed to have him stand up on this special day.
Groomsman
Isaac is the youngest Schroeder, but now the tallest and the smartest. He’s wise beyond his years and is always down for financial discussions. Isaac is a gentle soul who is also tons of fun, asks the best questions, and is a great listener. I’m blessed to have him as a brother, even though he consistently kicks our butts in Chess.
Groomsman
Eric is Ashley’s older brother and thankfully one of mine now too. He’s quite athletic and good at games so I know I have to perform at my very best around him if I want to compete. I appreciate Eric’s knowledge and that he helps me with math and finance homework. His creativity and quick wit keeps our time together exciting and special.
Groomsman
Ryan is Ashley’s oldest brother and he quickly and easily welcomed me in to the family. I admire his athleticism, but even performing at 200%, I know I’ll never beat him at anything. Not even Twister. He’s an awesome brother-in-law because he is eager to check in on our lives, he’s a great host, and makes any situation more fun. I can’t wait to continue developing our relationship!
