We took a weekend trip to Annapolis to celebrate my 33rd birthday. Little did I know, Stu had much more up his sleeve than just celebrating my birthday. On Saturday afternoon it started snowing like crazy. Stu mentioned he had plans for us that unfortunately got ruined due to the weather. I told him not to worry about it, as we were enjoying shopping and just taking in the adorable city of Annapolis. While enjoying a few drinks in a cozy bar, he mentioned that one of his plans was actually going to come through. We strolled down to the marina and took in the beautiful views as the snow continued to fall. It was then, that Stu started pacing back and forth and acting a little funny. I then heard clicks in the background and before I knew it, he was down on one knee. The clicks were from a photographer that he had arranged to capture the moment. Of course, I said yes! Like many couples these days, we met on a dating app called JSwipe. We talked for about a month before actually meeting. The day we met we considered canceling as we had both been on a string of bad dates. We met at Varga bar in Philadelphia, PA and to each other's relief, we both appeared as we had looked in our profiles (not always the case :)). We hit it off, discussed our love of dogs, hate of sushi, and shortly later shared our first kiss. As it turns out, both of us grew up about 5 minutes apart in Cherry Hill, NJ.
