On Ashley's recruiting visit to Prairie View A&M University, she saw this handsome fellow sitting in the cafeteria across from her, of course she was staring. She then went home and found him on Social Media (Instagram), where he decided to comment under her picture. He then gave her his number and since that day they've been inseparable. From that one conversation, six years later, they are engaged to be married.

Sorone has not always been great at surprises, but that is because Ashley is very nosy. However, this time around, everything went according to plan (well, besides the time Sorone left the ring on the back of the trunk, on the way to the proposal). Any-who, Ashley thought she was going to a surprise dinner in Killeen for her aunt but little did she know, that the surprise was for her. On the way to the dinner, her cousin and aunt told her that they needed to pick her aunt's husband up from the tarmac. Upon arrival, they got out of the car to say hello to some family and friends. At this point, Ashley was ready to go to the dinner because she did not want her aunts' surprise to be ruined. All of a sudden, a helicopter came flying in over them. Ashley was so worried about her hair flying everywhere, that she did not really pay attention. Her aunt told her to go take a picture by the helicopter, which Ashley thought was weird, but compliantly she did. As she turned around, she saw her soon to be fiancé, get off the helicopter and walk towards her. Once she saw him, all she could do was cry. He got down on one knee and asked the well anticipated question, she emotionally said "YES". Now they patiently and ecstatically await the day they are joined in holy union. This memory became the first and best surprise that Sorone has gotten past his nosy partner. This day will remain in their minds as one of the best of their lives. As the day nears, they are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of life with you!!!
