Our path's crossed unexpectedly. They say love finds you when you stop looking for it and Scott came into my life at just the right time. I believe fate had a hand in helping us find one another. We bonded over our similar interests and quickly realized "this" was something very special. We both love being outdoors, going on adventures, being active, traveling, dancing, watching movies, and FOOD! Fast forward three years and we are continuing to fall more in love with one another and are now planing a wedding that is just the first step of the rest of our lives as Mr. and Mrs. Kaciuba. I thank my lucky stars every single day for bringing him into my life, because he is the best thing that has ever happened to me!
Let me start this by saying that Scott is incredibly thoughtful, considerate, and a total romantic! I could not have dreamed up a better proposal. He made September 20, 2020 one of the most memorable days of my life. Here is my account of that very special day: I had been asking Scott if we could find some time to relax together since my schedule had been quite busy and overwhelming. Of course, he obliged and, on what I thought was just a typical Sunday, Scott booked appointments at a nearby nail salon. I got a manicure and a pedicure before he informed me that we were going to get a couple's massage. After our massages, we went to Kuiper's Family Farm. If you know me pretty well, you know that I live for Kuiper's apple cider. We drove to Maple Park and were able to enjoy some donuts and warm apple cider. At this point, I am full relaxed and so grateful because so far I had spent the entire day with my love. We headed home and started getting ready to go to dinner. I was really excited for dinner because we were trying out a new restaurant called Basil's. I love Mediterranean flavors and since it was a Greek dining experience I was very excited! I tried saganaki for the first time ever and after a delicious dinner we were headed back home. At this point, I still had no idea that by the end of the evening I was going to be engaged. When we arrived at home I noticed the backyard lights were on. Scott led me outside where 1,000 Years (by the Piano Guys) was playing. Accompanied by a projection of a lantern festival and a deck covered in rose petals. Scott got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. With tears in my eyes and Milo right in the middle of us... I said yes! The proposal was a dream come true, because not only did he have a floating lantern for us to launch into the sky immediately following the proposal, but our families were there to witness and celebrate with us! It was honestly a fairytale, just like Rapunzel.
