Meet Our good friends that are sharing our special day with us!

Kristen O'Brien

Maid of Honor

Kristen and I met in elementary school. We share matching flip flop tattoos, because we love the beach. We both love country music, we went to our first country concerts together, and man have we been through the trenches together. Decades of fun, family drama, and now motherhood. Whether going through different seasons of life, or celebrating small victories, we always make our way back to one another. We are either laughing, crying, or explaining to people that our sons do in fact have different mothers and fathers lol despite the fact that they look like twins. I can always count on her to listen and when I am up for a fun adventure she is my yes girl. She is someone i truly admire. She is the strongest mother i know. She works so hard to provide the best life for her son and she inspires me. I love you and appreciate our friendship. Lets do this Flop

Adam Shaw

Best Man

Scott first met Adam through their mutual friend, Dan. He still laughs when he remembers shaking Adam’s hand for the first time and being a little confused. Later, Scott had to ask Dan what was going on, and that’s when Dan explained—Adam was missing two fingers. It became a funny and memorable introduction that Scott never forgot. But beyond that first impression, Scott quickly discovered that Adam was the kind of friend everyone hopes to have. Adam is the type of person who would give the shirt off his back for someone—and in Scott’s case, he actually did. When Scott found himself out of work, Adam welcomed him into his shop without hesitation. Over the years, Adam has offered Scott countless hours of help, support, and service. More than that, when Scott was at a low point—down and out—Adam was there. He didn’t just offer a hand; he helped Scott climb out of his funk, encouraging him to get up, get moving, and start doing again. In every way, Adam has been the friend Scott needed, exactly when he needed him. To Scott, Adam isn’t just a great guy—he’s one of the best people he’s ever known.

Nate Steele

Groomsman

Nate has been my longest running mate and friend. We met while in College in Ogden, Utah. During our days of having no money in college, We would have X-Box game night of Halo and pizza; we would drive up the canyon in his black dodge pickup and have bonfires in empty parking lots; Snowboard all day on Saturdays, play Rugby, or working on perfecting the art of Brisket. No matter the season of life we are in I know I can call him and count on him for an ear to listen. We both would make effort through the years to call one another. Nate still reaches out to me this day to ask me how my brisket is going or how to make a BBQ sauce. Those days in College were formative years for us both. Coming of age, and bouncing ideas off one another. It really set the tone of how we would become in our more Adult days ahead of us. I am so glad to have had a friend like Nate during my College years. This past summer I took Ashley out to Utah and she was able to meet Nate. She instantly said she could see why we were good friends. Nate sees the good in those around him and is a man of effort. He goes above and beyond for his friends.

Gina Bernaitis

Matron of Honor

Gina is one of my longest childhood besties. We go back to my first day on the school bus where she wasted no time asking me why my haircut was so short lol. That is what I love about Gina, her honesty. She is always willing to give her honest option, advice, and love. She is like the sister I never had. We have gone through so much together, but my favorite would be our trips to Boston and always are fun car rides jamming out. I love our memories as kids going trick or treating and of course eating her moms famous Italian sauce. Here we are adults and I loved being her Matron of honor, standing by her side on her special day. Now we both share motherhood, and its only created a new journey in our friendship. I cant wait sis to have you there next to me when I say I do.

Daniel Cianci

Groomsman

Dan and I met at the most perfect time for each of us. Both of us were working at Electric Boat and working on race cars and racing careers. We helped each other immensly. I spent hours and hours working with Dan in the race shop. All the hours of fabrication and engine swaps and race car improvements. Not only in the shop but also introducing me to all of his friends and family and holidays. Even to allowing me to crash on the couch on long weekends. I was looking for a friend like Dan and Dan is the best friend I needed in my career and race car career.

Renee Silio-Pettway

Bridesmaid

Renee and I met over a decade ago over our love for kicks. We were both shopping for the cutest sneakers for our daughters. She was pregnant at the time with hers, and Gianna was a little over a year. Never did I imagine that we would become so close and that our daughters would also become best friends. Now, they are cousins and we are all family. Renee is my sound mind. She is my voice of reason and wealth of knowledge. She has been there for me through the crazy birth of my son, during my struggle of fostering, and my divorce. Through holidays and birthdays we have created so many memories. She will always give me solid advice without judgement. We both have a deep love for R&B music, old school hip-hop, and of course the latest kicks. I am truly excited to be on this new journey and having her apart of it.

Kye Smith

Groomsman

Kye has been Ashleys friend for 10 years. He is now my brother. The man of peace and understanding. He is my kids Uncle Kye, and of course the husband to Miss Bel. Kye is usually on the golf course unless their is snow on the ground. lol He has the greatest music playlist, and some great dance moves we hope he bust out for the wedding day. On a serious note, Kye is one of the best humans. Although he has been great friends with my ex husband, during and after our divorce he was so supportive to us both. He was loving and kind and made sure we both knew he wasn't picking a side. Scott was reluctant to meet him and soon found out he was exactly how I described. Kye opened his home and heart to Scott and now they have also become great friends. Kye has been such a great person to chat about life and the struggles of having a blended family. He will always be there for a helping hand and ear to listen. We both cannot wait to celebrate with him.

Maria Bel Smith

Bridesmaid

Maria, aka Bel, has become someone I cannot picture my life without. Bel is calm, peaceful, funny, and one of the most supportive people I know. She will be your cheerleader, your moral support, and give you the best hug. She is also my spicy Latina from my favorite Island Puerto Rico. We both love our Spanish food and music. I was more than thrilled when I was invited to their wedding in PR. We now spend every Wednesday night together breaking up our crazy work weeks. From dinner, wine, to relationship chats, to intense Jenga games. We look forward every week. With all of that being said, I love that she shows up for me when I least expect it. She offers help when I am to proud to ask, and it doesn't hurt that our men and children love spending time together too. We have been through similar trials and now both having a blended family its beautiful to share that. Girl I cant wait for the Wednesday night before the wedding lol it will be crazy and I will need all the support!

Sara Manzi

Bridesmaid

Sara, my soft spoken, horse loving, country gal. I have never trusted anyone so fast. She had such a genuine energy. We met years ago both being in our girl Gina's wedding. I even joked and said to Gina "where have you been hiding her, I love her." Day one she was one of the most authentic people I have ever met. We soon realized we had a lot in common. I love her faith, her love for family, and of course her taste in country music and boots. I love how passionate she is about her career and giving her all to those she cares about. With all of that, I cant say enough about her love she showed me during the hardest time of my life.

Laura Manzi

Bridesmaid

Laura, aka Bestie. I will never forget my first encounter with Laura. We became besties over our love for tequila! That soon lead to us figuring out we also love Winnie the Pooh and Mexican food. Laura has a spirit about her that just lights up a room. When you get to know her behind the quiet introvert side, she is that friend you can have fun with, you can be sure to have a good time, and get pure support and respect. Laura is also so loyal. She has stuck up for me and shown me unconditional love. When I was in a dark place, she would check in and say "I am here for you and thinking about you. If you need anything I am your girl. I know you may not be in a place to answer but just know I love you"! I'll never forget the love she showed Scott when she met him for the first time. Thank you for being our biggest cheerleader since day one.

Ken Shing Law

Groomsman

Ken has been a friend of mine for quite some time since I moved to Connecticut. I met him through Dan at the Race Shop, and over the years, I’ve really come to appreciate his sharp mind, quick wit, and infectious energy. He’s always ready with a joke and a smile. I’ve always admired his unique investment ideas, like watches and Japanese whiskey—and he’s even been generous enough to share some of those investments with me. Ken has lent me his car on multiple occasions when I was coaching clients at track days, and I’m grateful for the trust he’s shown me. Hopefully, one day he’ll hand over the Corvette keys too haha! Ken is someone I’d like to grow even closer with in the years ahead and having him stand with us on the wedding day just feels right. He’s easy to get along with, and I know you’ll all enjoy getting to know him as much as I have. I’m excited to have him as part of my groomsmen.
