Please be sure to RSVP no later than March 28th.
We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! Dress code is black-tie attire. Ladies can wear formal floor-length gowns. Gentlemen can wear tuxes or dark-colored suits with neckties or bowties. We ask to avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories, and creams.
Due to limited space, we can only accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Your invitation will be made out to “Your Name and Guest” if a plus one has been given to you.
While we love all the children in our lives, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate children not listed on your invitation. Your invitation will be made out to “The 'Your Last Name' Family” if your kids have been invited.
Because the ceremony begins promptly at 3:00 p.m., we recommend you arrive by 2:45 p.m. to comfortably arrive on time.
There is limited parking available behind the church on Upper Aly. After parking, please walk through the black gates, enter the glass doors on your left, and use the stairs or elevator to reach the main church area where the ceremony (Mass) will take place. Additional parking is available in the church’s private lot, located at the corner of Melrose Avenue and 9th Street. This lot will have signage indicating it is for church use. From there, please walk to Upper Aly and enter through the black gates at the back of the church. Please note: The front entrance of the church on Melrose involves several steps and is not fully accessible. For elevator access or a step-free route, we recommend all guests use the Upper Aly entrance at the back of the church.
A Coptic Orthodox wedding is a religious ceremony that follows the traditions and rituals of the Coptic Orthodox Church. The ceremony is rich in symbolism, including the crowning of the bride and groom, prayers, and blessings for a life of unity and love. It often involves hymns and readings from the Bible.
The marriage ceremony itself will be about 60 minutes. If you need to take a break or step outside, you can absolutely do so!
We recommend arriving to Cocktail Hour at 5:30pm. Should you arrive early, you will be able to wait in the lobby near the Grand Staircase.
We’re happy to provide complimentary valet parking for all guests. Please enter through the Carriage Drive entrance on Forbes Avenue at the Carnegie Museum of Art.
Yes! There are three hotels with room blocks. We also listed a few hotel options closer to the venue that do not have room blocks available. Please click the tab 'Travel" above for more information.
We will update this section when transportation is confirmed.
