IT’S HAPPENING!!!

From meeting Christ in college, to traveling the world, to being college athletes and way too many failed attempts at the set-up game to finally our GPS systems getting on track to one another... Our story is amazing because you couldn't draw this up. God's hand Is all over it, weaving and writing this story for our joy and His glory. So, here's to our story! Never early, but always on time! Ryan's version One fall weekend in 2017 Derek Schwandt (Liberty Head Coach) and I (Ryan) were recruiting at a tennis tournament in Atlanta, GA. We had been friends for a few years and I'd never met his wife Rachel and newborn baby. Derek invited me over to his in-laws house to meet his family. Rachel's sister Laura and her husband Taylor Metzger were also there that night. After getting to know each naturally, the set-up game came up; yet again. Laura (Ashley's best friend) said, "We have a best friend Ashley who is awesome! She did the World Race and played soccer at UGA. You guys have so much in common... but she just started dating someone." Another. Attempt. Failed. After a great night and another strike out all parties went there separate ways, but Derek and Rachel put Ryan on their prayer board... Ashley's Version Fast forward one year, I (Ashley) was at Laura's house watching the UGA football game (Go Dawgs!) and Rachel happened to be in town that weekend. Rachel and I both did the World Race and were catching up on life when the set-up conversation happened again....Rachel said to me, "so...there's this guy on our prayer board and we pray for his future wife, I want you to meet him.". I played it off thinking to myself, great, another set up... That next week, Ryan called me to set up a date and we chatted for about 30 minutes..... (after I got off the phone I laid there thinking what in the world did I just talk to this stranger about for 30 minutes, this cant go too bad right?) The rest is history and here we are! It has felt like home since day one :)
