One day in July, Ashley was on Hinge and saw a picture of Rooscov (my now fiancé) sightseeing in New Orleans. She “liked” it, because She thought he was super handsome and loved the fact that he traveled to a city she had recently visited and loved. They ended up “matching” and started chatting instantly. A few weeks after matching, they went on their first quarantine date (LOL). They set up to have a Netflix Party and watched "Brain on Fire" (soo good) via social distancing. That wasn't enough! They just knew they HAD to meet in person. Shortly after, they had brunch in Miami followed by a gondola ride experience days later. The two had the best conversations surrounding God, life, travel, and everything else. They couldn’t stop smiling and laughing and figured it was time to delete the app. The search was over. God's timing is perfect — from Hinge to Hitched!
In March of 2021, Rooscov surprised Ashley with what she thought would be a "couple photoshoot". Rooscov and Ashley rode over to a waterway in Fort Lauderdale where they met a gondolier and hoped upon a romantic Venice gondola. After about half an hour of deep conversation, Ashley was blindfolded and guided out of the gondola, on to a ramp, and into a beautiful park. Camera flashes went off, and "Matrimony" began to play. As they came to a standstill, Rooscov held Ashley's hand and led them into prayer. Ashley was instructed to remove the blindfold and found Rooscov on his knee. Family surrounded the couple in this beautiful celebration of love. The words "MARRY ME" were boldly displayed in front of the couple as Rooscov proceeded to ask Ashley on a journey to eternal love !
