Ashley bravely attempted to keep up, but let’s just say she may have tried to play it off better than she actually succeeded. Fortunately, Ricardo was already smitten. Not long after, Ricardo asked Ashley out on a sushi date — unknowingly choosing her favorite meal. Over sushi, he told her how lucky he felt to be sitting across from such a beautiful woman. From that moment on, what started as a spark began turning into something lasting. Since then, they’ve built a life full of adventure. From shredding the slopes together in Beach Mountain, North Carolina, to exploring the rich history and pirate legends of New Orleans, Louisiana, to discovering that Nashville hot chicken (and Johnny Cash’s legacy) is nothing to underestimate in Nashville, Tennessee — every trip has been a new chapter in their journey. Whether dancing at a country music concert or an EDM rave, there has always been one constant: they were together — and that’s what made every moment unforgettable. So it only made sense that in January, Ricardo asked Ashley to marry him — and she happily said yes.
