Our gracious host and coordinator is Andelain Roy. She is Ashley’s cousin on her father’s side. Andelain’s mother Kathryn who is no longer with us physically but will be with us in spirit, was the sister of Ashley’s father Ken. Andelain has generously allowed us to have our much anticipated wedding on her beautiful property! Because of her love of cooking she is also preparing our meal for the reception! She has two beautiful children, Mason, age 10, and Athena, 14. Andelain is a mother and entrepreneur. As cousins and friends Ashley and Andelain get together as much as they can and are always laughing, cooking and talking together. As a young girl Ashley always looked up to Andelain with her beautifully adventurous spirit and outgoing personality. As an adult Ashley appreciates her strong values and her enormous heart for her family. Andelain brings her extended family together by hosting Thanksgiving, throwing parties and traveling to visit her loved ones. She brings her creativity, her charisma and naturally welcoming spirit, her experience in catering and party planning, and her general business savvy to the table for us to be able to enjoy an evening of romance, family time, food and dancing!
Dokmay Powell
Maid of Honor
Ashley and Dokmay met in 2011 and were instant friends. Through their 14 year friendship, they have been through some of the best and the worst stages of life together. Ashley got to watch Dokmay’s 3 boys Jared (18), Hyden (24) and Timothy (30), grow up and become handsome, intelligent, and caring young men with bright futures. From skydiving to paddle boarding to late nights crying and laughing, Ashley and Dokmay have a rare connection that not everyone in this world is blessed to have. With a glance they can read each others thoughts and anticipate what the other will say. Although they live 450 miles away from each other, distance cannot break their bond.
Deanna Wardley

Deanna is Ashley’s cousin and share a bond that only family can share! Ashley’s mother Julie and Deanna’s father Craig are brother and sister. As children Ashley and Deanna spent summers playing Barbies for hours, constantly drawing, creating, and putting on plays and performances for their families. They shared the same endless capacity for imagination and creativity and were never bored when together. As they grew up they shared the same love for music and art and never stop laughing together. Their mothers would say they were “two peas in a pod” and “cut from the same cloth”. Cousin friendships are some of the most special!
Vanessa Camp
Bridesmaid
Vanessa and Ashley have been friends since before they were born! Ashley’s mother Julie Vanessa’s mother Joanne were pregnant together and the girls were born 5 weeks apart. The two families remained best friends and lived either next door, or within walking distance of each other for 40 years. Ashley and Vanessa were always together and walked their whole hometown together many times over. They grew up together almost as sisters, celebrating holidays, birthdays, and the birth of Vanessa’s two children Charlie (age 14) and Frankie (age 12). Warner and Joanne Camp were like Ashley’s second parents until they went to be with Jesus, Warner in 2022 and Joanne in Nov. 2024. Ashley, René, and the Hopkins family are truly grieved they cannot be with us to celebrate the day but are honored to have Vanessa to represent her family and to carry on the Hopkins-Camp friendship legacy!
Claudia and Chelsea

Claudia Cañas and Chelsea Little have been best friends for over 10 years and come as a pair! When Ashley met Claudia in Southern California in 2020 she adopted her into what would become an inseparable trio! Claudia and Chelsea have been an incredible support to Ashley in her SoCal life. Each woman, in turn, has been a shoulder to cry on, a cheerleader, and confidant. Claudia is a loving mother of two boys Julian 25 and Christopher 26. She is the mother hen and the glue that gathers all her friends and keeps them together! Chelsea and her boyfriend Landon live in sunny Los Angeles, she is loved by everyone who meets her with her genuinely kind and nurturing heart and sweet disposition. Chelsea with her exceptional intelligence, kindness and loyalty, and Claudia with her loving protectiveness and steadfast encouragement, have been in Ashley’s corner through the past 5 years, and although they may be newer friends, the depth and sincerity of their friendship is worth preserving for life.
