Bride
Groom
Maid of Honor
Sister of the Bride, BFFs since '99...or at least, thats what our parents told us was suppose to happen. It took until I moved out of the house for college, but we can finally say that we are really best friends for life. There is no way that I can do anything major without my "little-big" sister by my side. Phil has also been around for over half of her life, and you can tell by the way they lovingly antagonize each other.
Best Man
Cousin of the Groom, Sam "Mule," is the only other male in the cousin crew, so they were destined to stick by each others sides. Phil enjoyed having someone to play video games with and teach how to build (and destroy) Legos. Phil always made sure that Sam stayed humble as an only child through "monkey bites," "pink bellies," and other forms of sibling abuse. Most Sundays, you can find the two lugging gaming systems across town to play after dinner.
Matron of Honor
Introduced through family what seems like forever ago, we have been friends since our first 12 hour car ride to Myrtle Beach. Leslie quickly became the big sister we never had, and has always cheered us on and supported us through our journey. Her hard-core "adulting" skills are invaluable, and have come in handy many times (i.e. "Where do I even begin consolidating like, a billion dollars in loans?!"). It's also important to mention that the Ricci's have always been #relationshipgoals.
Groomsman
The best person to drive on road-trips, Ron piloted the maiden voyage (of friendship) to Myrtle Beach circa 2010. We have known and loved the Ricci's since then. Filling in the big brother role for both of us, he has become a solid rock in the friend group. He also has the skills to survive the apocalypse, so when sh*t hits the fan, you will find us at the Ricci's place.
Head Bridesmaid
The defining moment in mine and Bekah's friendship (as she will tell you) was when she visited me in my college dorm and I was crab-walking with my arms and legs through a hoodie. Twinning since then, we have gone through some really high, highs, and really low, lows, together; including two super-sketchy apartments. But we both made it out the other side, and our promise to do family Easters together still stands.
Groomsman
Long-time Boyfriend of the Sister of the Bride/Maid of Honor, Cooper has fit into the family since day one. He and Phil share a bond that only those exposed to the nuttiness of the Salerno Girls and household can. Phil is grateful to have Cooper at his side on our special day, and someone to relate to the insanity. Cooper is also our "fancy" cat Reece's number-one fan, so he obviously needs to be up there with us.
Bridesmaid
Sister of the Groom, Jess's trademark cackles at family shenanigans make everyone in the room start laughing along. Her dedication to her dog, Charlie, is unmatched and if he wasn't so grumpy he would obviously be escorting her down the aisle. I am honored to have her standing by my side for our special day and that she has treated me like her big sister for so long.
Bridesmaid
Cousin of the bride and friend of the groom, again, since we all grew up together. Bonded by our love of reading from a young age with weekend Library/McDonald's trips with Grandma and Papa, to pop culture, TV shows, and everything in between, we have been thick as thieves for a looong time. Her quick-witted humor will have you belly-laughing when you least expect it and most need it.
Groomsman
Cousin of the Bride and good friend of the groom, since we all grew up together. There is a lot of estrogen on the Salerno side of the family, so having another guy around at family events helped level the playing field. When we all get together, it is nonstop laughs and inside jokes. Vince get major credit for his in-home set-up for every Flyers game, surround sound included, and he is also an essential part to any dance floor.
