Ashley and Perry first crossed paths a few years ago through mutual friends. No matter the setting, the two would always find time to catch up with each other about how life was going , Perry always having a witty comment or funny story to share with Ashley to make her smile. The relationship started in the most romantic of settings—at a mutual friend's wedding. The rest, as they say, is history. They spent the next year growing closer, despite the distance at times they both knew the idea of a lifelong commitment hadn’t felt right with anyone else.

During a weekend trip to Ashley’s Family house on the River, the sun was setting while the fishing and chatting on the dock continued. To Ashley’s surprise, when she turned around Perry was on his knee asking her to spend forever together.
