Though they were just friendly co-workers at Doherty, Cella, Keane law firm in 2012, Patrick and Ashley would always find an excuse to have a conversation at each other's cubes. Perhaps it was nerves that kept them as "just friends," but nerves couldn't stop them from admitting their feelings in July 2014. What followed was a summer to remember, full of wonderful dates and time spent just hanging out. Unfortunately, it didn't make sense for a relationship to continue in the fall - Ashley was headed to spend a semester at Disney World. However, in true fairytale style, Patrick continued to pursue Ashley - he even bought a ticket to visit her in Florida. Ashley's first surprise was to find out that Patrick's favorite place, in all of the fantasy world that makes up Magic Kingdom, is the Hall of Presidents. The second surprise was in front of Cinderella's Castle during the evening fireworks show, where Patrick asked Ashley to be his girlfriend. What could be more magical? Well, that would be a weekend getaway to Lake Winnipesaukee on June 3, 2017 where he asked for her hand in marriage.
