It started with two confessions to the same friend. Ashley had told our friend Karen Good that Olek had caught her eye. Olek had made a drunken confession to Karen during a Santa Stumble when Ashley was out of town; despite his rule to never date a Lancaster Road Runners Club member, there was really something about Ashley. The problem was another new member of the club had been getting too close to Ashley and Olek had almost given up. But thanks to a quick check-in with his brother, Andrii, before a running club dinner at Iron Hill, Olek proceeded to be his stubborn self and wedge his way in. It wasn't too difficult because Ashley never really liked that other guy. A night at the Village (what was thought to be the last night for the beloved Lancaster city club) led to a date the next night at the movies. Ashley truly didn't think Olek would remember asking her to the movies, but alas he did. And the rest is history!
